Album Review: Dunwells - Blind Sighted Faith (Playing in Traffic Records)
Leeds-based brothers David and Joseph Dunwell team up with a couple of cousins and a close friend who form The Dunwells, whose impressive musical style recalls the West Coast sound captured by the likes of CSNY and The Eagles, especially on Follow the Road, which could quite easily have accompanied the construction scenes from the film Woodstock. The Dunwells have the potential to take the big festival stages by storm, alongside fellow pop/folk outfits Elbow Jane and Skerryvore. Produced by John Porter (Roxy Music) the eleven songs here provide a fine introduction to a promising young band.
